Step One:
Learn about the 1960's movements in the following pages. Read the documents. Watch the videos. Be inspired by how every American demanded a better America.
Step Two:
Take advice from The Help, "Write about what disturbs you, particularly if it bothers no one else." Each student will be required to write a three paragraph (minimum) speech that discusses the injustice, why this problem exists today (think about the history), and possible solutions for a better tomorrow.
Step Three:
Remember that real change takes courage. Each student will read their Dream speech to the rest of the class. Students are expected to listen and participate in discussion that arises from the topics.
